Chrome Comic Author to Open Seattle Conference
Scott McCloud will provide the opening session of the Confererence for Software User Assistance. Scott created the Chrome comic book for Google. He'll speak and sketch about the challenges of communicating technical information in a startlingly unique way.

DITA Help Initiative Offers Info and Tools
The DITA Help sub-committee, governed by OASIS, is in the process of developing information and recommendations to ease the creation of user assistance with DITA. The latest draft of the Best Practices Guide, plug-in information, and sample files, are available for free download from the DITA Help Public Documents site.

The annual Peer Review, produced by Puget Sound STC, is now in progress. This is a great way to have your technical communication work evaluated for a nominal fee and to receive formal recognition for exceptional work. There are no restrictions regarding your geographic location. STC membership is not required.
